It’s once again time for the annual one-day Workshop on Basic Computing Services in the Physics Department (subMIT). The workshop will take place on Friday Feb 2, 2024, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM in the Kolker room (24-414) and Zoom. The agenda for the workshop can be found here, including the Zoom link. It will provide an overview and updates on the status and plans for the system and project, as well as topical presentations on a range of use cases plus tutorials. From new hardware, to the Linux upgrade, to new use cases, there is a lot to discuss since last year.

As attendees from last year may recall, these talks & follow-up discussions can inspire audience members and speakers alike of ways to better leverage available resources. There is still space for additional contributions, so get in touch if you are interested in presenting or discussing something.

Come engage with the community, share your passion for computing, or sit back and see new computing workflows and techniques that may boost your own research.
