This includes a broad range of activities and users are expected to exercise sound judgment and common sense. The system must not be used for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Commercial purposes or non-MIT activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any activity that could be considered illegal or criminal. Handling datasets obtained unlawfully, unanonymized data, or data subject to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/International_Traffic_in_Arms_Regulations\">ITAR<\/a> or other national security regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All usage must comply with MIT&#8217;s Institute-wide IT policies, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/ist.mit.edu\/network\/rules\">MITnet Rules of Use<\/a>. For detailed guidance on data policies if you are uncertain about a specific use case, contact submit-help@mit.edu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Users must not share accounts and should take appropriate security measures to protect credentials like passwords, SSH keys etc. Compliance with system administrators&#8217; instructions is mandatory to ensure system stability and fair access for all users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Code of Conduct<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a shared resource, the SubMIT system serves a diverse research community.
